Plus six thousand years, give or take. If Aziraphale had let himself think on it, he would have expected it sooner. Six thousand years is an awfully long time but the handful of weeks at the end take much longer.
There are a lot of things he hasn’t let himself think on, it seems. They make themselves known all at once, when Aziraphale stumbles upstairs into the flat above his bookshop to find Crowley sleeping.

First of all, I have to apologize. A few days ago I uploaded this little story in my own language because I thought I could never do this beautiful movie/book justice anyway, and even less in a foreign language. But when some of you started to use the Google translator I decided that even a bad “personal” translation by me would probably be better than any Google translator. So here I am with the story in English which probably sounds a bit weird sometimes. Besides, I had to simplify it a lot so that I was able to translate it and I’m really grateful to Ligeria who had volunteered to beta read the translation. Thank you so much, Ligeria!
