Matt had been staying in the guest room of the penthouse since they retrieved him from Gotham City and she was more relieved every day knowing the kid was looking after Tony. And Tony was letting him - he deferred to the kid over JARVIS when it came to blood pressure alerts and was letting him a lot closer than anyone who wasn't herself or Rhodey.
Tony shuffled to the counter beside her and pressed a chaste kiss to her cheek that totally wasn't going to make her smile all morning.
He took the small recorder from Matt's bag and connected it to his tablet, muttering about 'outdated tech' and 'lazy nuns' as the transcription software linked up.
Matt placed a glass of orange juice, a cup of coffee and a glass of - tomato juice on the counter and after a moment, six neatly fried eggs and four toasted waffles.
"When did you get a toaster?" Pepper asked, smiling when Matt brought her a plate.
"When the kid decided to make self-care a team sport," Tony replied.
