Summary
Husk manages to win Angel's soul in a bet against Valentino. He's planning to give it back to Angel as soon as he gets home. Angel is planning to take the opportunity to have incredibly kinky sex about it. They find middle ground by discarding the first two plans and agreeing to larp some of the worst moments in their respective lives instead, as a way to try to move on from them.
Featuring me, going insane about how the show casually dropped that Husk used to Own People in mass, and then moved on like they didn't just say that.

A contemplation on how the overlord system of Pride might work, and why it might work that way, featuring Husk's experiences with both sides of the coin. Also featuring a revolutionary group lying in wait to turn the status quo on its head.
Things quieted down after that. The name of the rebellion was forgotten, if they had ever bothered to name themselves at all, and no one dared to continue their legacy.
It was a chilling tale about what happens to those who try to play hero in hell.
Or at least, that's the version of the story Husk heard when he was an overlord, told to him over drinks by some rich wanna-be. -

"And then there's a customized copy of PONY PALS, a gift to you on your 14th birthday from the slippery Mr. Strider. Each page contains lovingly hand-written commentary on the deeds of this intrepid young horse. Later, about halfway through the book, rather than see the gag through to the bitter end, Strider began pasting over entire pages of original text with his own completely rewritten version of the story, while keeping all the chapter titles. His revision is a tough, emotionally draining read. But it's cathartic, in all the worst ways possible.
He tends to get carried away with his projects."Note: this work is an altered book, and it plays on the physical relationship between the original pages and the edited text. As such, it's presented as a series of images. Reading the images is the only way to get the full experience, but I'm aware that some people can't/don't want to read it that way. So if that's the case, you can skip to chapter 13, which is a text-only version of the story, including rough descriptions of the most important illustrations.
