Summary
Dazai loves Chuuya: a truth that doesn’t change, in this life or in the many others that come after.
[alternatively: Chuuya dies and their peaceful life together is broken. Each time, Dazai Osamu promises to return things to how it used to be.]
Dazai’s gone through this many times before - eight-hundred-sixty-four, tallies in his skin as he recalls each one of them and creates a plan from every piece of information he’s able to gather.
Chuuya loving him back is the main reason why he keeps on using Corruption until he dies from his own power.
Eight-hundred-sixty-four failures haunt him, but he’s also eight-hundred-sixty-four times wiser because of it.
Scenario eight-hundred-sixty-five will be the final one, he promises to himself.
He just hopes he’ll be able to keep it.
