He loved this part: watching Harvey rise, button his jacket, and take command of the room with nothing more than a look. It was ridiculous how hot it was, and Mike had to duck his head and pretend to be double-checking a brief just so no one noticed the grin tugging at his mouth.

It started with a joke.
Harvey had been strutting around the condo with two cups of coffee, tie still undone from the night before. He found Mike curled up on the couch, half-hidden beneath the massive, ugly Harvard hoodie Harvey pretended to hate but secretly loved seeing Mike in. His boyfriend looked pale and sweaty, breathing like he’d just run a marathon and gripping a throw pillow like it had personally betrayed him.
Harvey smirked, balancing the mugs with one hand. “Jeez, Ross. How far apart are the contractions?”
Mike didn’t laugh.

The older man groaned, but didn’t move. "What," came the growl, muffled by the pillow.

When Castiel tells Dean he wants to occupy a female vessel—wanting to experience Heaven not as an angel observing from the outside, but to understand what it means to be desired and to desire Dean in return—it isn’t framed as a problem to solve or a test to pass. It’s simply a truth, offered with the same calm certainty Castiel has always carried.
Dean takes a moment to adjust. Not because he loves Castiel any less, but because Heaven has finally given them the space to be honest in ways they never could before. Loving Castiel still feels the same. The details are different. The instinct isn’t.
