Summary
While Team Free Will celebrates by drinking and watching porn, our curious naive angel Castiel repeatedly asks a pointed question that makes Sammy flee the room. Dean finally throws caution into the wind and drastically spices up the conversation and intimacy. A flirty wasted Dean then asks Cas to take him and literally pounces on the hesitant angel- sucking his buddy into complying to both of their secret lusty desires fueled by the new found liquid courage, while begging Cas to make Dean remember their romp long after Dean sobers up by leaving undeniable lingering effects which would last several days so there's zero chance of denying their transpired activities and change in relationship.

“Wait a minute,” Sam said, finally catching on, “you slept with our client?”
Dean threw up his hands. “I didn’t know, alright? It was a one-night stand like a month ago!”
Sam pinched the bridge of his nose between his thumb and forefinger. “Dean--”
“No, you cannot blame me for this, Sammy!” Dean cried, pointing a finger at his brother. “You told me to get out and have fun, so I had some fun,” he ended with a lazy memory-drunk smile. “I was working at The Roadhouse--”
“I don’t need details!” Sam closed his eyes and sighed. He had told his brother to go out and have some fun and the man had listened for a change. “Just...be professional, alright?”
Dean nodded. “Yes, I can do that; promise.”
Dean was doomed.

They know it's just a matter of time, and meanwhile, they have human lives to live - lives that, just like any human existence, aren't perfect.

Summary
Dean would never say any of this out loud, but he absolutely loves when he and Cas are able to have moments alone. They were both men of few words, but what they conveyed in looks would set a romantics heart on fire. Cas stared back at Dean with an intensity that made his hairs stand on end. He returned the look, wanting him to feel everything he was feeling at that moment. His skin was hot, and his shirt and jeans suddenly felt incredibly constricting. His palms began to sweat, and his heart raced a bit faster than normal. He was either about to have a full-blown anxiety attack, or jump Cas and finally take his face in both his hands. claiming those amazingly soft, plump looking lips. He wanted nothing more than to taste any part of the angel he could get his tongue on…

Summary
“I love you”
He doesn’t know why he shouted it. Feels like that’s the only way to say it, honestly.
“You should have not said it”
Castiel’s answer is not what Dean was hoping for, but he couldn’t feel more happy anyway. He’d said it, finally. He’s free.
“Why is that? It doesn’t matter if you don’t feel the same, Cas— I understand, I’m just a man and you—“
“No, Dean. That’s not why…”
As he starts to speak, the whole bunker is shook by a force, like an earthquake. Dean looks around to understand what’s happening, but as he meet Castiel’s glance he petrifies.
“What’s goin’ on?”
“That’s the reason… I’m trying to keep it in, but I can’t”
“Keep what in?”
“Happiness”

Summary
Returning his gaze, Dean is startled to find that Cas has closed the distance between them. He focuses on the bright blue eyes in front of him for a moment, and then it hits him. A literal flash of genius.
“Dude, yes. Get in me.”
Cas narrows his eyes and tilts his head in confusion, “Dean. There isn’t time for...that."
Dean bites back a chuckle. His lip ticks up into a lopsided smirk, “Cas, I’m the Michael sword. I’m a strong vessel. Get in me and I’ll keep you safe until we can find a way to get your body back. I’m saying ‘Yes’.”
Or
Dean says "Yes" to Cas as a way around the empty deal. Cas rides shotgun in Dean's head through 15.19 (the finale doesn't exist because it shouldn't). This is the equivalent of locking the boys in a room together until they talk about their feelings...only the room is Dean's brain.
*And yes, my chapter titles are a nod to the movie The Prestige. Specifically for the line, "Making something disappear isn't enough. You have to bring it back."
