He needed to see how far his admiration could stretch for this robot. He ached for the knowledge that this robot kept. A human’s true flaw—their curiosity. The difference between himself and Billy was obvious. One was a Champion, the other was a mercenary. Billy was a robot. He was a human. He was falling for Billy nonetheless.
And, what a painful, lonely fall it would be.
Set in the time where Lighter first joins the Son of Calydon, he finds himself finally having the time to process things he'd never previously allowed for himself before.
