Summary
The press always paints Hannibal Lecter as having some supernatural genius, and far be it from Hannibal to correct them. But the truth is much more mundane. He is simply much better at recognizing and storing opportunities. Covertly, like a raven, or even as brazenly as a shrike, Hannibal caches resources everywhere. If not too much has changed in the past several years, he's looking at one right now.
Ignoring the pain and the dizziness brought on by blood loss, physical trauma, and stress chemicals, Hannibal drags Will along the beach beside him toward the light.

When he found out that he himself was in the wrong universe, his confusion deepened. In the next universe over, an angel named Gadreel was experiencing something similar with an angel named Aziraphale.
Or, in which there are multiple timelines, Gersonides was really on to something, and the Archangel Raphael is there.
