Where Betas keep everyone else grounded and basically know better, and where Gandalf really shouldn't withhold information. Even for his own amusement.
Or, where Bilbo is an Omega, but never presented, and a good portion of the company are unbonded Alphas, who assume he is a bland Beta, which isn't their fault, as he assumes he will present as a Beta when he does finally present. And then once he does present as an Omega, all hell breaks loose.

Twenty-five years after Erebor was reclaimed, Fíli and Kíli arrive unannounced at Bag End once again, this time to invite Bilbo to a special anniversary celebration. What they find is Bilbo and his 24-year-old son, Frodo. A son that absolutely no one knew about with black hair, blue eyes, and who shaves every morning. This results in old secrets and traumas being brought to light, and will only end when both Bilbo and Thorin come to terms with their actions and choices and how those actions and choices have affected one another, and ultimately, Frodo.

Summary

“Dwarves tend to use the stones they come from, but here,” Gandalf says, reaching into some hidden pocket of his robes and revealing a handful of very dirty gemstones. “Take these.”
Covered in dirt and all else, Bilbo really can’t see what he’s even looking at. A couple of gems, perhaps, or crystals. Only one tends to be actually cut into the fashion of rings, but the others look like they’ve come from the ground directly. One looks to be a garnet, but that’s the only color he recognizes.
“And pray tell,” Bilbo drawls, “what am I supposed to do with this?”
Gandalf laughs, fully bodied and leaning forward slightly. Bilbo can’t help but stare, half debating on throwing the mismatched rocks right onto the ground.
“Why, give it to Thorin, perhaps? As a token of… friendship,” Gandalf says.

Or Bilbo gives Thorin a gem that means lust. Thorin eventually replies with a flower that means hate. They figure it out in the end.

As the two carefully plan their private game, Thorin gathers props and prepares the perfect surprise, unaware that his suspicious behavior has alarmed the Company. Convinced their king has fallen back into gold-sickness and that Bilbo is in grave danger, the dwarves launch a dramatic rescue that bursts into the royal chambers at the worst possible moment, turning a carefully planned evening into a chaotic misunderstanding.

When Thorin dies in Bilbo's arms, Bilbo decides to retreat back to the Shire and leave his new life behind in the hopes of pretending none of this ever happened. Unfortunately, Bilbo is pregnant, and he never got around to telling anyone in the chaos of Thorin's madness. He finds that the Shire is far different than he remembers, or perhaps he has changed more than he thought, and raising a baby on his own while he has become something of a pariah is harder than he expected. Then, one day, very familiar dwarves show up on his doorstep, and reveal that Thorin was never actually dead. Now Bilbo is forced to come to terms with potentially reuniting with a love he thought he'd loss with a toddler who has no idea he even has another father. For the third time in a handful of years, Bilbo must decide whether or not to make the long journey across the horizon, and if he goes, is he willing to fight to regain what he lost?

"Close now. Remember the rules?" Ghost talks loud to be heard, but his voice rumbles low and deeper through him than the engines and their repetitive noise, an edge there that Soap can’t put his finger on, reminiscent of how he sounds when Price tightens their leash.
"There are no rules," he echoes their earlier conversation, but relents as Ghost narrows his eyes. "Forty-eight hours. I'm late, I fail. I'm caught, I fail. I die to some random animal attack or 'cause I break my ankle, I fail and ye won't come find me. That about it?"
Soap has some things to work out. Ghost is happy to help.

He watches him draw his uninjured leg up, flatten it down again, bend his knee to splay it, straighten it again, watches him tuck his arm under the pillow, put both on his chest, and sigh before star fishing out.
It's not for Ghost to watch, but he does. It's not for Ghost to note the bulge in his shorts that are shifting higher on his thick, hairy thighs from all the moving around, but he does.
And he should look away when Johnny huffs out a breath he can almost hear and cups himself, but he doesn't. It'll help settle him down.
It's private.
Soap breaks his foot and is sent away to heal. In repayment for the injury, Ghost offers him his nearby flat. It provides fast access to the base and task force, staying conveniently close. It just so happens to provide Ghost some different access, too.
In which good intentions aren't all that good, bad ones are just what the doctor ordered, and games lay bare what's been carefully hid. In a spiral of obsession and guilt, desire and fear, some guidance isn't amiss. But will it be enough?

Summary
Ghost is many things: an enigma who likes to keep people guessing, a force to be reckoned with in the field, and a massive sugar addict.
But, by no means is the omega sweet.
Innocently getting breakfast one unassuming morning, Soap is blindsided by his stoic lieutenant getting in his personal space, practically clinging to him. Soap plays it off as a fluke, until Ghost keeps pestering him. Sure, it's far out of character, but Soap thinks he's just reading into things too much.
When he finds out that Ghost is going into heat, Soap gets to witness just how sweet Ghost really is.
