    Summary

Bilba Baggins, Crown Princess of Erebor, knew the stories well. How her wandering ancestors, desiring a home, had tricked the King of Erebor and stolen his throne. It wasn’t a particularly nice story but, according to the legends, the old king had been a brute anyway so Bilba never particularly minded.

King Durin had reportedly vowed to one day return and reclaim the mountain but, as the years passed the threat became little more than legend.

Legend, until the day they weren’t.

Now declared a threat to the stability of the throne and the new king who sits upon it, BIlba is given an ultimatum. She can marry her sworn enemy and bear him heirs to strengthen the Durin line, or be executed to remove the threat she presents by simply existing.

    The choice is hers.

    Summary

This is basically a story about Legolas figuring out who he is mixed in with adventures and some family discussions and problems. He is maturity wise around a teenager, he hasn't meet anyone from the Hobbit or the Fellowship yet. The story follows a completely different storyline. I don't own any of the characters they were all made by Tolkien.

    Summary

Consideration (noun): Something of value given by both parties to a contract that induces them to enter into the agreement to exchange mutual performances.

Months after the Battle of the Five Armies, it is clear that the people of Dale will not make it through the winter without assistance. Bard travels to Mirkwood to secure aid from Thranduil. There was little that the new King of Dale would not do for his people so when Thranduil offers him aid in exchange for Bard remaining with him for two weeks, Bard does not think twice about trading himself in exchange for his people’s survival, if he has understood his terms correctly.

What begins as a brief affair slowly turns into something more. In a slight reversal from the usual formula, this is endless smut from start to finish with a slow-burn romance underneath. I will be adding more tags as I update the story.

    Summary

Legolas never knew the right thing to do.

In his forest, messages came on the breeze. The trees told him of approaching spiders. Small creatures told him where to find berries and even the earth beneath his feet told him, ‘this is where you belong’. He always knew what to do in the forest, but in this Mannish place he was at a loss.

    Why did you write this?
'Never Trust an ELF!': this scene in the movies got me thinking. Why exactly is Gimli so angry?

    So, what's the story about?
This is a look at Legolas, who Tolkien was somewhat vague about in the book. We all love Orlando, but I've mixed it up and cast differently. This is also a cultural exploration of Dwarves, and a look at Gimli's growth in understanding that history may be more nuanced than what was on public record.

    Why is it so long?
Because it's a worldbuilding meander, looking at some of the bits we weren't shown in the books & films, including the bromances and slash. We explore the characters and events in both The Hobbit & Lord of the Rings, with back-stories, and rummaging in heads.

    I hope you enjoy it.

    Summary

Bilbo Baggins wants to do something special to repay Maglor for helping him with his writing over the years he's spent retired in Rivendell. Unfortunately, the elf in question is a little hesitant to cooperate, once he knows what his little hobbit friend wants to do. Not that his request is unreasonable, not in the slightest, but Maglor has a rather complex relationship with his memories, and isn't quite sure how he feels about having them recorded for posterity.

Still, if it makes the halfling happy...

A continuation of 'Return to Life', this story is mainly going to be little snippets and vignettes of Maglor's new life in Imladris, mostly out of order and mostly unrelated.

    Summary

Even dwarflings know how it goes: Mahal created the Seven Fathers, and when they woke, they did so alone. It is not known when the first dwarrowdams appeared, and how they came to be, but it is a well-accepted fact that all dams have been gifted with the power to recognize their One as soon as they set eyes on him. To find the mate Mahal has crafted to share a soul with is considered the ultimate goal of every dwarrowdam’s life, and to claim him for husband the crowning moment. To refuse such a bond, a True Bond, is considered the height of dishonour.

    Summary

Not for the first time, Thorin cursed Smaug for bringing chaos, death, and danger into his life. Retaking Erebor would not erase painful memories of the past, nor would slaying Smaug, but at least destroying the dragon could pave the way to a more secure future. If there was a chance that his children could live in a world free from the fear of dragon fire, a world in which Erebor and Dale were restored to their former glory, Thorin was willing to fight to the death to make that happen.

King Thorin Oakenshield and Queen Alaisia restored prosperity to their people by revitalizing the abandoned kingdom of Dvergatal in the Blue Mountains. However, the memory of the firestorm that ravaged their homeland lingers in their minds, and both Dwarves yearn to return to the home that they were forced to flee. When Gandalf shares his concerns that the evil Necromancer and his Orc army might seek an alliance with Smaug, Thorin and Alaisia gather a company of Dwarves to reclaim Erebor.
Sequel to A Journey of Light and Shadow; takes place immediately before and during The Hobbit.

This can definitely be read as a standalone work! There's a recap of a few details from the previous story in the end notes for Chapter 1.
