Summary
Sometimes, Geralt wonders if the gods like toying with him. He just wanted to enjoy an easy day of shopping in Novigrad with his bard. But no, when is anything in his life ever easy?
Instead of an easy day of shopping, Geralt has to thwart an assassination attempt while keeping Jaskier out harms way.
Only... something about this "assassin" is off. If the two familiar swords strapped to his back didn't set Geralt off, the unmistakable shade of amber definitely did.
Was it all a misunderstanding, or was it destiny? That's something Geralt will have to figure out as a navigates through love, battle, life, and a volatile young Witcher.

Steve fucked up. And he fucked up bad. Everything was just... too much and he made the wrong call. He went back and he shouldn't have. He had everything he could have ever wanted or asked for right in his hands. But he went back anyway.
Now it's his wedding day and he's realizing just how badly he fucked up. He can't do it. He can't stay here and be married to a woman he doesn't love in a time where everything he knows to be wrong is considered right by the people around him. He can't stay here in a time without him. Without Bucky.
So there's only one choice left to make. Go back and win him over (again). Make things right with everyone he wronged and finally be home again.

Summary
It's been five years since Geralt last saw Jaskier. Five years since he watched his red jacket disappear down that mountain and did nothing to stop him. Five years since he lost his best friend. Geralt decided the best way to keep his mind off of Jaskier was to take contracts and keep himself occupied. His thoughts can't drift if he has no time for it, right? Wrong.
Geralt finds a new way to distract himself when he hears of a new monster hunter making his way across the Continent. One that isn't a Witcher. They call him the "Red Wyvern." Not too keen on a new hunter stealing his contracts, Geralt sets off to Temeria to investigate this mystery hunter.
But what happens when Geralt overtakes the Red Wyvern's vampire contact and the hunter is the last person he'd expect him to be?

The one where post-mountain Jaskier takes the knowledge he gathered from 20 years of travelling with Geralt and becomes a monster hunter out of spite, only to be confronted by the very man who broke his heart. Can their relationship be mended? Or will Jaskier send Geralt back to where he came from?

Summary
“What kind of game.” The growl, really, isn't him playing. One of the joys, he's found, of the last couple months, is that Jaskier has invited, at every turn, the parts of Geralt that are so monstrous. He's never going to get used to it, but he's also not going to question it. He's done questioning it, when it comes to Jaskier. If Jaskier likes something about him, he believes it. They're done lying to each other. They'd said as much. So when Jaskier tells him something, he believes, even when it's impossible.
What a concept. To talk to each other, and not have the words laid with traps.
Or, Jaskier and Geralt are finally happy together, and they slowly make the trek home to Kaer Morhen.

Geralt barely managed to slam the pommel of his sword up in a glancing blow that shattered the metal latch holding the Soldier’s mask in place. The Soldier rolled into the movement with a dancer’s grace and came to his full height just as easily. For a moment, his hands reached up to run over the exposed skin, before he slowly turned to face Geralt once more.
The Witcher froze in a mixture of horror and near-frantic hope.
He stared into the eyes of a dead man and whispered, “Jaskier?”
The Soldi--the bard frowned at him in confusion and spoke with a voice rough with disuse,
“Who the hell is Jaskier?”
