“I guess.” Hajime furrowed his brows. “Cogito ergo sum.”
“Yes, cogito ergo sum.” Nagito echoed, “It’s a philosophical concept he reached by locking himself up in a room away from all distractions from society. Traditions, customs, obscurantism. His goal was to start from zero. Rebuild his whole philosophy from what he knew to be real. That’s where his first conclusion came from. I think therefore I am.”
“So... you’re changing your philosophy, then? What’s your new take on hope and despair?”
“I don’t know, Hinata-kun...” Nagito smothered himself with his own pillow. “So far, I’ve just been sleeping.”
After the Neo World Program, Nagito Komaeda poses as a philosopher by drowning in guilt and painkillers and locking himself up in a room until everyone hopefully forgets about his miserable existence. Unfortunately for him, Hajime Hinata doesn't mind playing philosopher with him and clearly plans on doing something about his state.

Summary
Hajime believes there are truly very few things in life that can surprise him anymore. As usual, Komaeda is one of them.
Or: Nagito locks himself in a cage, and Hajime finds out he has some deep, forgotten kinks. He is as determined to try and ignore them as he is to help Komaeda. With an internally screaming Hajime and a pining Nagito, shenanigans ensue.
(This is a longer, slow burn canon-compliant post dr3 piece, with a generally fluffy, comforting take on komahina & the cast living on the island. There's pining, a lot of pining. Plot happens. A lot of things happen, actually. Oh, and bdsm. That too :) )

Summary
Crunchy Chip's world consists of his Cream Wolves, his duties to the Dark Cacao Kingdom, and the letters he receives from a certain Bodyguard in the Hollyberry Kingdom. The two had decided over letters to keep their relationship a secret, not out of fear, but out of necessity. Their respective leaders would be supportive, no doubt about it. Maybe even too supportive, likely trying to get them together more often, possibly even having them attend to different matters rather than their sworn duties.
One day, a letter arrives for the Wolf Captain, inviting him to the faraway land where his lover resides. Who was he to deny an invitation? One problem, he has to get the travel approved, and he only has one day to do it. The distance that separated the two kingdoms was long and required time, time he couldn't afford to lose.
