Shaken by his time as a Remnant of Despair as well as the Jabberwock Island killing game, Gundham is sent home to stay with his mother for a while and fulfill his community service requirements at his animal sanctuary. However, once he, Kazuichi, and Sonia get there, they discover exactly how much it's changed since the Tragedy.
(Takes place just over a year after DR3: Hope Arc. Took minor liberties with canon, so sorry about that. Some flashbacks to the Tragedy have a UDG vibe because your boy just finished watching a playthrough of that game and absolutely digs it)
(BLANKET CONTENT WARNINGS: depression, PTSD, violence, mentions of death (human and animal), and intense descriptions of self-mutilation and body horror in some chapters)

AND the source to the outside just HAPPENED to be the green bastard that she heard oh-so much about!? Dream this and Dream that, GOD she couldn’t stand it. In Junko’s opinion, Dream was nothing but a whiny bitch who practically begged for her mercy, well, look where that got him. Now she was stuck wringing the despair out of this small ass server like a wet towel, still trying to find that same green-eyed bitch, while the world crumbled around her, not that she minded of course.
Oh but what despair they must have felt when that brat died, the gambler's last look was of pure horror as the lever was pulled, the anvil crushing the one thing they both held dear to them. She relished it. She relished every last second of it, and that was why Junko needed that book, she refused to let her despair only grace this realm, they all needed to feel it, then and only then, would she be satisfied.
