“Can I come to you?” Yunho asks, evading Mingi’s question. He sounds tired. Mingi picks up on the hesitance, too, as if he’s already beating himself up about asking.
Then Yunho actually walks himself back. “Fuck— I— uh, I’m really sor—”
“Stay on the line while I send you the address,” Mingi says. He switches Yunho to loud-speaker and texts him the details.
Mingi watches as Yunho’s read receipt comes on. There’s some movement then, as if Yunho’s gotten up and out. “I’ll be there in couple of hours.”

Summary
It’s happened enough times by now that it feels like a running joke. Seonghwa throws out a complaint about never being praised properly. Hongjoong meets it with an easy grin and just enough teasing in his tone to keep it from tipping into anything serious. The members laugh, the staff laughs too, and the moment passes like it always does.
And afterward, Seonghwa leaves everything exactly as it is. He straightens his posture, gathers whatever dignity remains, and pretends—very convincingly, he thinks—that he has absolutely no deeper emotional investment in the situation whatsoever.
Seonghwa tells himself he is above fishing for compliments. This belief lasts right up until Hongjoong is the one withholding them.

Mingi makes the sound again — the six-emotions-at-once sound, the completely inarticulate one. And his face finds Yunho's shoulder with the specific inevitability of something returning to where it belongs, buried there, muffled, because some things are too warm to look at directly.
"Stop saying things like that," he mumbles into his collar.
