“那天当你第一次想起要拿我开玩笑的时候，为什么是布宜诺斯艾利斯？”他们在往会议室的方向快步前进，已经习惯在路上闲聊。窗外滴滴答答落着雨。迈克不记得哈维喜欢阿根廷。他也许去过那里，一次或两次，但对他而言，阿根廷正像是世界上的任何一个国家。布宜诺斯艾利斯可以是世界上的任何一个城市。难道他手机里真的存着梅西的电话号码吗？他手里运动员的号码大概多得可以彼此开会，于是谈及喜欢就太过了。他不相信哈维真的喜欢什么，尽管他的办公室里摆着篮球、棒球、黑胶唱片。他真的会去擦擦每张黑胶上的灰吗，上次他整理深处的唱片的时候都咳嗽了。那不是偏好，他在耀武扬威。展现自己胜利的符号，犹如他在街上对着一条狗也会发情（这句话有点超过，迈克想）。可是，纠结这个又有什么意义呢？但是这只是闲聊，所以聊什么都很合理。
迈克拥有过目不忘的本领。
