    Following Geralts dismisal of him on the mountain, Jaskier discovers he is pregnant by the Witcher. After failing to find Geralt, he tries to make his way to Kaer Morhen, the only place he can think of that will be a safe haven for the half mutant pup he is carrying.
    Vesemir finds him on the mountain and takes him to the keep, relieved that at least his pup will be safe, Jaskier tried to content himself with that, convinced that once he's given birth he will be dismissed from the keep that is for Witchers only.
    The Witchers set out to convince him otherwise, and get Geralt, who has brought his child surprise with him, to pull his head out of his backside and reasure the bard of his place. But with Nilfgaaurd searching for Ciri, a Firefucker intent on finding the princess, and an ancient demon in the mix, mending their broken relationship is easier said than done.

    Jaskier has just come across the most interesting Alpha.

    He smells him first; it’s easy to notice the difference, the tavern so far being comprised only of scentless Betas, with the exception of himself as the sole Omega. Then the door of the establishment opens and, alongside a hot gust of late-spring air, comes the indistinguishable musk that characterises most Alpha scents. This one is combined with fresh sweat, horse and a faint iron trace of blood.

    There is something about him, something that calls to Jaskier. And it isn’t necessarily his scent, heady and delicious as it is, or even his striking features, his shock-white hair and amber eyes, though those are certainly not a deterrent. It’s something more, and Jaskier doesn’t know what exactly it is, but he’s going to do his very best to find out.

    He moves at once to Ciri, kneeling and looking her over. Without context, he’s not sure what he’s looking for, but she seems sound.

    “Are you hurt?” He asks, cupping her face and examining her from head to toe. She looks afraid and tear tracks are still drying on her face, but he can’t pick up any scent of pain or blood. She shakes her head. He turns to Yen. “What happ-”

    He’s interrupted by a low whimper, and a breeze from an opened window carries a scent to him that he knows is Jaskier’s, but it’s wrong, somehow, sharper and more oceanic than he usually smells. He turns to the source.

    It’s a seal pup, cowering beneath the lower shelf of a storage wall.
