Nam-gyu's eyes shoot open and he lets out an involuntary yelp. Any ache in his body dissipates as if it were never present to begin with. Thanos is in front of him, his lips pulled back into a smile and a familiar shine in his eyes. He's pumping his fist out rhythmically to the blaring music, jerking his body around to it. Nam-gyu's heart is beating harshly in his chest and he lifts shaky hands out of his pockets to feel his pulse. His stomach doesn't hurt, his knuckles aren't bruised or covered in anyone else's blood, and most notably, Thanos is alive.

His reflection, Marc, said nothing. But the widening of his dark eyes communicated enough.
"Right," Steven coughed when the silence became too long for comfort. "That's all."

"You could at least buy me dinner first." Nathan said. He frowned. He was pretty sure that he said that. He didn't hear a word of it coming from him, though. "You could at least buy– okay whaaaat the fuck..." The group, who had all been watching him in amusement at this point, started laughing. "Why are you guys laughing?! What happened to my voice?!" His lips moved, but nothing came out.
Poppy stepped away from him and looked between her friends and the now horrified Nathan. She hummed and tilted her head toward him. "Looking for this?" She asked in a voice that was not her own, but rather, Nathan's. Realization hit him like a bus. No, stronger. Like a train. Stronger than that, even. An airplane full of realization just crashed right into Nathan's mind.
This fucking cunt. This absolute wanker. She had a power... she just used her power. On him! Nathan gaped at the woman. "My voice..." Nathan mouthed silently. "You... you took my voice."

“Anyone there?” Steve tries again. He’s hoping it’s a person and not– well, something out of his nightmares. This could still all be a concussion induced dream, he supposes. Steve hasn’t been hit this hard since Jonathan laid him out on the street. And even then, he was able to walk away with his wits, but not his pride.
“Harrington?” A voice, one that also sounds strained, speaks out. Steve knows that voice too, gets taunted by it every basketball practice since it waltzed into his life and shoved him to the ground, figuratively and literally.
“Hargrove?” He’s asks, still incredulous that they’d be put in the same room. Then again, this isn’t a hospital. It’s rather shaping up to be a nightmare.
