He wanted to end it – had thought about doing it since his parents had passed when he was just an eight-year-old boy – but he couldn’t. When he felt this way he often thought of his oldest son, Dick, and his butler Alfred.
And Clark.
And that’s why he’s decided to draft up a new will and a contingency plan of sorts. He already had many in place, but this would be the final one – he needed to make it count. So that when he ended it all, everything would go smoothly, and they could all forget about Bruce and finally be happy.
It was the perfect solution.
Everything could be fixed with a plan.
At the start of January in the new year he would be a dead man.

Bruce managed to save his childhood friend and long term crush from the enforcers. Together he and Clark and trying to fight the injustice along with Bruce’s adopted son Dick.
It’s just a normal night of creating petitions in the study when Bruce gets a call from Roy Harper saying he’s found 3 underage, abused metas and he wants Bruce to come take them home.

To put it in simple words, Jim Gordon is a pain in the ass. The Gotham police department needs to get rid of him as soon as possible, fortunately, corruption exists everywhere, so once he and Harvey Bullock are sent to "help" the police department of a small town called Smallville, Gotham is ready to Bleed, courtesy of the war between Theo Galavan and The Penguin.
Unexpectedly, Alfred Pennyworth and Bruce Wayne accompany him to the little town. Bruce swears he'll leave as soon as possible, until he meets a gallant young boy, Clark Kent, and suddenly, they can't leave each other's side.
Smallville turns out not to be so safe, when the rivalry between the Luthors starts affecting the whole town, Clark's father, Jor-El, decides it's a good moment to manipulate Kal-El to fulfill his destiny to conquer earth.

His mouth opens and then closes again, nothing but a shuddering breath whispering past his teeth. Jason is dead. It runs through his head like an echo, an intangible recall.
“Master Bruce?”
Bruce swallows and disconnects the call. He’s dead.
