Uraraka rolls her eyes. “The other company contracts quirkless people. Can you believe that?”
Izuku's mouth goes dry. he feels like a wave has just washed over him. His ears feel muffled, his skin clammy.

“I mean. I supposed it’s not something one talks about? It doesn’t really come up in casual conversation.” Yagi tilts his head, perhaps a bit puzzled. “Is this something I should have told you about? I suppose I could add it to my CV.”
This is the sort of thing that used to drive Shouta completely up the wall, because he would have been sure that it was coming from a place of sarcasm. How could it not be? The Number One Hero looking him directly in the eyes and asking, “should I have put juggling on my teaching CV.”
Unfortunately, as Shouta now knows that Yagi is being 100% percent serious, it’s also now much harder to be annoyed about it.

Summary
He remembers being scared and nervous at first. He remembers hitting Aizawa in the middle of a crowd. He remembers talking. He remembers feeling warm, feeling strangely happy. He remembers that small strip of paper Aizawa had given him, the one with his personal phone number written on it, and the promise he’d made to his teacher. And he remembers the promise his teacher had made to him.
He has no idea why he’s here.
Todoroki Shouto wakes up in a hospital with no memory of how he got there. He knows two things—he made a mistake somewhere along the way, and for some reason, Aizawa Shouta and Yamada Hizashi are here.

“I told you outside,” Aizawa chooses his words carefully, reiterating the same point he’s made before. “My responsibility for you doesn’t end at the classroom. Every part of your life is partially my responsibility. Your father doesn’t scare or intimidate me. If you need help, I can get it for you, but you and I both know that you need to ask for it first.”
Aizawa organizes a way for the students to go home for the holidays. Todoroki Shouto, however, gets left behind by his father. Aizawa, annoyed at Endeavor, takes Shouto under his care for the night, and is joined by a certain Yamada Hizashi.
