“I’ve been so nice lately,” he tuts, taking a large bite of the pastry. “Letting you sleep inside, giving you table food,” Ramsay speaks with his mouth full, chewing loudly as if to remind Reek of his empty belly. He swallows thickly, Adam’s apple bobbing. “Perhaps I’ve been too kind to you,” he says coldly.
“I do not deserve your kindness,” Reek mumbles, lowering his head to show subservience.
It warms Ramsay how fast he folds. “No, you don’t,” he sighs wistfully. “But,” he bites the last pastry in half and chews it evenly. “You’d die without me,” he says pragmatically.
