Yet, the venture proves to be much more difficult when he is faced with the reality that he was a prison guard at a secret prison, which causes issues for his family as the government isn't keen on just letting his 'death' be brushed aside. Mikhail, by himself, is successfully reunited with him, but the fate of the rest of his family is up in the air.
While dealing with the knowledge of what they were keeping in the prison and what happened in Hawkins, his son's arrival brings about new issues and cracks in the foundations of relationships he had overlooked for so long.

You and your uncle, Hopper, have been looking after each other ever since plans falling out put you back in Hawkins, Indiana. It wasn't long until you had knowledge of the strange world that wreaked havoc on the town, and you figured it was only a matter of time before you got roped up in that side of the town. Though, it turns out that that opportunity comes about in a disastrous way, you and Hopper ending up on the Russian side of the gate during the battle in the Starcourt Mall.
However, after being injured and tortured, you get separated from him early on. Now, you have to figure out a way to get back to him. However, as it turns out you two aren't as far apart as you had been expecting, Hopper being held in this top-secret prison and you being forced to lay low in a town two hours away.
Though, with the unexpected help of a prison guard, busting Hopper out seems doable. That is, until it's not.
