Summary
There was a kid in SBI’s territory.
On its own, that fact posed little problem. As the most powerful crime ring in the city, a single street kid was hardly a large enough issue to be on their radar.
But this was their territory. And SBI took care of their territory and all of the people in it. Since establishing themselves all those years ago, they had made it clear that they would provide protection to those their territory encompassed, especially the children. They set up shelters and kitchens for those on the streets, taking special care to secure safety for the kids who came to them for help.
Their territory may be considered rough to an outsider, but to those within, SBI were the guardian angels of the neighborhood. Deadly angels, perhaps, but angels all the same.
So the fact that— according to their informants— there was a kid out there, sleeping on the streets and refusing help from the shelters—
Well, it was concerning to say the least.

“There’s a lot of things I don’t know,” Tommy started, tapping his chin, deep in thought. “I wanted to ask you — well, I was wondering if you knew anything about a revival book?”
Phil froze; then, his expression darkened just slightly, a shadow falling over his emerald eyes. “Tommy, how would you know about that?”
Ah, shit. Tommy blanched, glancing away as he spat out a quick lie. “Dream told me! He said he heard something about it from a spirit.”
Phil sighed, placing a gentle hand on Tommy’s shoulder. “The revival book is not something you should tamper with, Tommy,” he advised lowly. “For your own safety, it’s best you forget whatever he told you.”
Tommy nodded nervously, ignoring how the revival book felt like it weighed the weight of the earth in his satchel.
Or: Tommy is a plant witch at the Esempi Academy who also has the peculiar ability to speak to books. With the school-wide magic tournament not far away, everything is looking promising for him. That is, until a certain revival book falls into his possession. Now it seems like that was the catalyst that opened Pandora’s Box, and, well… Some people really will do anything for power, no?

Tommy was handed a small flyer in printed in black and white, with the words “POETRY NIGHT - OPEN MIC” splayed across the front in bubbled font. He fumbled with his binder as he took it, eyes wide as he said, “are you sure? I mean, I love poetry and all, but I don’t think-I’m not sure—what if I can’t write poetry?”
Mr. Sam’s dark eyes softened, and he reached out to place a hand on Tommy’s shoulder, squeezing it gently. “Everyone has to start somewhere; every poet, from me to Rudy Francisco, started off without knowing a clue about what we were doing. Tommy, it’s not about if you can or cannot write poetry, it’s about if you want to.”

Siren snorted. “No. I’m just here to order some food.”
“Wh-What about him?” The cashier asked, glancing at Tommy. “Did you- did you kidnap him?”
“I mean… yeah, let’s go with that in case this ends up on the news,” Siren shrugged, looking back at Tommy. “I kidnapped you, right?”
“Yeah, sure,” Tommy agreed, knowing that if they said he was kidnapped, it would keep people from getting suspicious of why he was seen in public with Siren. “Anyway, can I get the chicken nuggets happy meal, with a coke?”
or, how Tommy—who is not a hero, or a villain, or even a vigilante—saves the life of one of L'Manberg's most feared supervillains, and accidentally ends up becoming the resident doctor for every supervillain in town (and maybe gets a family along the way too).

The masked man looked up from where he was currently bleeding on the concrete and gave the blond a lopsided grin. "What? not happy to see your favourite villain?"
Tommy scoffed, shaking his head he walk over to the back door and unlocked it, for the third time. "I don't see Pallas here so, no my favourite villain isn't here. but I've still got to heal your ass so hurry up."
Or the usual Tommy working in a cafe (a cat cafe!) and is a depressed teenager with healing powers. Nothing could go wrong!

Look. I really enjoy writing this when I have the time. But with recent.. information arising, I can’t in good conscience do this. So this is discontinued. There is a chance I’ll pick it up and just edit people out as I had plans to further this fic. Sorry all x- Language:
