When those two months passed and Tommy Innit climbed out of hell, smelling like WHEY extra strength powder, iron, and cheap booze, he had looked everyone in the eye that day and let them boil him down to nothing but a scientific miracle.

They’re a hundred stories up. Wind lashes against Phil’s face. Next to him, Sam makes choked noise.
“But why?”
Tommy looks up to meet Phil’s eyes, terror struck so deep in those pale blue irises Phil thinks they must hold all the world’s fears within them.
“You’ll die,” he whispers. “And then I’ll die. But I’ll come back.”
“And I don’t want to come back.”
Others have the freedom to live. Tommy doesn’t even have the freedom to die.
But maybe they can teach him that living doesn’t have to be so bad.

A shaky breath, crackling with static.

There’s a moment of silence.

A muffled sob, clearly not intended to be audible.
“Please. He’s all I’ve got left.”
Far away, a communicator crackles to life as a button is pressed.
“We’re coming. Just hold on.”

Summary
Tommy's life can be written out in arcs.
The first one is the longest and the happiest. It consists of his childhood and his family. It ends with the death of everyone he holds dear, on a spaceship explosion, and a boy who cries for his father and his aunt newly gone, and a mother long dead.
The second arc starts in a prison and ends in prison. There's a middle part that he shuts out—one of the worst tragedies in history, and one that he survived—through that experience sits in his head and festers like an untreated wound. He does not tell anyone, and it rots like old food left too long.
The third one is now. He sits in the Wasteland, a prison for Origins such as himself, and he grows tired of everything around him. He is only sixteen—soon to be seventeen—but life is already miserable. He meets someone that convinces him to join a cause—a rebellion, a fight for a better life. He sees people he thought he would never see again, and he faces things that he thought better lay forgotten.
That does not mean his story will have a happy ending.

Ranboo was sick for a few days and now everything has gone to shit. How? He'd like to know as well! Everyone is going sorta crazy - well crazier than usual - but Tommy seems to be the exact opposite. Now that's worrying.

Tommy just wishes the people he knew weren't so nosy. He also want's a vacation - a long one. Take him on a year long vacation where he doesn't have to deal with everyone and his growing pile of work.
