Name it, and it’s yours.” She paused, shooting Adora a sultry smirk. “Of course, my company alone is pleasure enough, isn’t it?”
Really? Adora thought. This is what I’m stuck with now? “Selling you my soul was one thing. I did not agree to put up with your flirting.”

He goes up to the roof, following the sound of a steady, familiar heartbeat. He’s surprised when he’s greeted by the smell of coffee and gunpowder. Not because he expected the heartbeat to be someone else’s, but because Frank has never just…shown up like this before.
“What are you doing here?” he asks. He knows Frank’s watching him, can feel his gaze on him like a hot brand. No one else’s eyes on him have ever felt like that. Not even Elektra’s. There’s a stirring inside him, one he recognizes all too well. Molten heat in the pit of his stomach.
“Need a place to crash.” He frowns, head tilting to one side as he focuses in on Frank’s heartbeat again. Steady as ever. Not a lie?
“What about your safe houses?” he says.
“Not so safe right now, turns out.” Matt doesn’t ask why. Doesn’t want to know why. He just turns and starts heading back inside, and Frank follows.
