That night, and a few more nights after, he dreamed about Monoma.
Each time he woke up with a jolt in the twilight. Sweating, flushed, and his arousal curving up to his abdomen.
The dreams were disgusting, hot, and kept reminding him of that afternoon that was dreadful and wonderful in the same spell. He couldn't shake the unease he felt when he had to be in the same room as the blonde.
All he could think of was how he'd inevitably sit in the dorm's bathroom sweating in the dark later, hunched over while he stroked his cock thinking about him and his pretty neck that bruised so well.
It was pretty bad.

After Shinso's summer fling with a blond boy from Belgium who was renting the apartment with his own parents, Monoma travels back to his home country at the end of August. Despite Shinso’s chaotic family of 6, the apartment feels perpetually empty without him.
Thank God he manages to get the address he has in Europe.
The two send letters back and forth, telling tales of family mishaps, new music albums, and the shared hope that they'll both get into U.A. across the world and be able to finally reunite. Permanently. Leaving their domestic lives behind for each other.

Hitoshi leans back, cigarette between his fingers.
At this angle, he can see the way the silver moonlight reflects back in his eyes and mixes with white and light blue. His hair was still messy, he didn't bother to fix it before coming back out. He didn't have his earrings in, he never does when he goes to bed.
He looks beautiful. The thought managed to slip into his mind. And he pulls him in by the back of his blond hair, lips caught in his, of course he can taste cigarettes on his lips.
The smoke continues to curl upward into the dark, undisturbed.

"I suppose," Yuri remarked as she absentmindedly took a volume for the fun of it and glanced at the back cover. She furrowed her eyebrows slightly when she saw the spine of the book was facing the opposite way.
Natsuki noticed this. "Oh, manga is read right to left," she said quickly, taking it out of her hand for a second and flipping it over.
She nodded, the slightest pink tinge of embarrassment on her cheeks while reading over it again before Natsuki complained once more about a bookshelf she couldn't reach.

He could see the faint dents turning into bruises underneath the pads of his fingers from where they curled around the blonde's neck. Something in his gut, aside from the hurricane of unwelcome pleasure that was swirling, told him that Monoma was enjoying this.
His blue eyes widened and locked on to him, like Shinso's glare was the only thing that stopped his eyes from rolling back. The flush on his face darkened further, and when Shinso put a knee down in-between his legs to steady himself, he felt the bulge through his shorts, which only grew the longer he had his hands on his neck.
And his expression? Completely in a lustful daze. He looked at him like he wanted something from him. Or just... him.
Shinso would be lying if he said he didn't want him as well.

Summary
Shinso Hitoshi is still hospitalized after the events of the war long after the dust settles and blood stops its spray.
Monoma got off easier, and he is left to pick up the pieces of his own heart.
He’s been coping by wandering the halls in his hospital gown, crying outside his room, and writing poetry. A lot of poetry, for that matter. It kept him tethered to the days that slowly blended together into a dull, bleak, week and a half filled with hazy days and the utter suffering of his.
It also slowly healed him and drove away the "what-ifs" that entered his mind, unwelcome, harsh, and possibly true from what his mind convinced him due to his severe lack of sleep and excessive amounts of hysteria to match.
The walls that he put up started to crack under the pressure and he was ready to believe anything. The little things he adored about the boy and all the parts he would never be ready to lose.
And when it all ended, Monoma intended to leave the poetry, a bouquet, and all of his love that he's been waiting to give him in Hitoshi's hospital room.
Everything he lost and found that week without him.
