An absolute accident without Baz's involvement happens and Simon gets amnesia. He’s still Simon, but he’s also not? (It’s hard to explain, you’ll have to read the story to see what I mean.)
He laughs at the idea that he is the Chosen One, finds Baz extremely hot, and walks around the campus wiggling his toes at strangers.
All in all, Simon is a shameless flirt and leaves Baz in an almost constant state of gay panicking.
