When Regulus hears, he has to excuse himself to sit on the toilet for a bit with his head between his knees, consciously breathing lest he fucking pass out.
This is the closest he’s been to Sirius in ten years.
In an attempt to find his long-lost brother, detective Regulus chases a string of gruesome murders in the area. Little does he know, nothing and nobody is as it seems, and he is closer than even he thought he was.

Summary

Regulus is Sirius’s little brother; Sirius is James’s best friend; James is Evan’s college friend; Evan is Regulus’s cousin; Regulus is Headmaster Remus’s personal assistant; Remus is Sirius’s Dom; Sirius is Barty’s co-worker; Barty is Evan’s Sub; Evan is Remus’s neighbour; Remus is James’s best friend; James is Regulus’s cross-training teacher.
Regulus would always be Sirius’s heart.

He doesn’t plan it, doesn’t set out with the intention to follow. Somehow, without realizing, he’s repeatedly drawn to Regulus. It starts when he watches Regulus as he turns down a corridor, or slips into the library, and before James can fully register what he’s doing, his feet are moving.

Not when it came to his cloud boy, his black coffee and awful tea boy. Not when it came to Regulus Arcturus Black.Regulus in contrast had always known he had greed. So he had refused to even glance at James once too many before he could ask for more. Ask for all of him.
All in vain when James Potter made it his mission to push and pull on his life till it finally let him in. All in fucking vain when James Potter sees the blood on Regulus’ hands, wipes it off with his own clean shirt and helps him hide a murder. Regulus’ murder.
As it turns out it was hard not to demand everything when James cuts out his own heart and lays it before his very feet.
Will Regulus take it or step on it?
Or will he simply do both?
