It takes a village to raise a kid. Hatake Kakashi may be a child again, but he lost his own village years ago. As Shinsou Hitoshi, he has little interest in finding another family. It's never ended well in the past, after all. But somehow, he's still managed to end up with two Pro Heroes in his life that care way too much about him. It's... surprisingly nice.
Letting himself care about them in return is a bit more daunting, though.

Summary
Amestrian Wolfhound, Kuvasz, and Aerugonian Wolfdog, three breeds known for hunting predators such as bears and wolves, and for herding sheep without the intervention of an owner. An alchemist abducts an adolescent girl from an orphanage and forces her into a transmutation circle with these canines, a brown bear, and a spiny mouse. The resulting human chimera, resembling an abnormally large dog, possesses the strengths of all species, and is one of the most complex chimeras created, although it is unable to assume a human form.
Before the chimera can be used for the government as intended, she escapes and flees into the countryside.
Her fugitive journey brings her to a small town in the East of Amestris, where she finds herself guarding sheep at a distance as a cover, before encountering a pair of younger children in a cemetery.

Summary
Without needing anyone to tell her, Sakura knew that talking to someone no-one else could see or hear would make her weird. It would draw the bad kind of attention to her and would be something people could make fun of her for.
She didn’t like being weird, but she did like the voice. Her inner voice was helpful and it was a part of her that had always been there. The idea of it not being there would have been so much weirder than anything else.
It was during her first year at the Academy that Sakura realised the voice was not in her head at all, but that it came from a cloudy shape floating next to her.
(Basically a short-ish retelling of Hikaru no Go. Only with more Shogi and Nara and Ninja's)

Kakashi Hatake isn’t who he says he is.
Because the truth is that he’s actually a youkai in disguise, a wolf spirit named Madara who stumbled across the Hatake clan during the Warring States Period. Intrigued by the shinobi he saw, he’d proposed a temporary alliance in which he would offer the clan protection in exchange for their teachings.
Decades later, Madara is surprised to find himself inadvertently summoned to Konoha by the last living member of the Hatake clan. Sakumo Hatake, who is mourning the recent deaths of his wife and stillborn child, doesn’t want to be alone anymore. So with his permission, Madara takes the place of Sakumo’s deceased son in order to watch over the last Hatake.
(Fusion in which the youkai of Natsume’s Book of Friends all exist in the Naruto world. No knowledge of Natsume’s Book of Friends required).

Give me a landscape made of obstacles
MeliseKakashi Hatake isn’t who he says he is.

There's a quote that comes to mind: “Treat a man as he is, and he will remain as he is. Treat a man as he could be, and he will become what he should be.” If they'd been smart, the citizens of Konoha would have realized this. If you call a boy a monster, then a monster he shall be. Natsume has a head full of a past life's knowledge and the sinking realization that in this world, no one will step up to protect him and Naruto. So he learns to do it himself, even if it means staining his hands so Naruto can keep his clean.
