Jason is a Golden Boy. A perfect kid. No trauma so no healing needed. Although when Will decides to give the Seven (+Nico and Reyna) a group therapy sessions he is forced to open up on useless things. They say that all his feelings matter even though nothing bad has happened to him. Like ever. He hasn't been through Tartarus so what does he have to bring to the table? Maybe he felt as though he was always on a pedestal trying desperately to match what everyone wanted from him and never felt he could be himself. Maybe he has a bit of trust issues from his mom and a few scars here and there. But that's besides the point. He's absolutely fine.
Or in other words, I give Jason the character and backstory that Rick rudely never gave to him. >:(

And with the lack of proper punishment towards sexual criminals in Japan, Makoto's beauty gets exploited for... certain pleasures. Makoto tries to convince himself it's normal and it works. So Kutsuki takes advantage of the naivety of Makoto. But he gains the boy's trust first. So Makoto holds on to that mantra, I mean, his parents aren't there to tell him it's illegal and exploitative. So, he trusts and learns that there is no safety in love.
