Summary
Steve and Eddie weren't friends, that was what they'd both tell you before scoops ahoy happened. Then all the other events started tumbling down as if they were an avalanche and before anyone knew it, they were fighting an otherworldly monster with fireworks while Steve's and the party's superpowered friend almost got killed. Just for the guy that was targeting said friend to step up and sacrifice himself. Everything was 'normal' for a while, as normal as it could be for a group of teens and adults that had dealt with monsters and death, until a murder happened, the body looking the same like it did with some murders from the 50's.|
This is basically a rewrite of season 3, 4 and 5 with Steddie and some sprinkles of Harringrove.

Summary
Wammy's was a horrible place to grow up, and one late night while L and Light are working on the Kira case, it comes up. Turns out it's a very sensitive topic, even if L is trying to pretend its not, and Light wants to know why. He's never been able to resist his curioustiy, has he?
"Ryuzaki … I - do you even have a name, or is it actually L, because you’ve been curated into the world's greatest detective since you were five?”
Ryuzaki chews on the inside of his cheek with a tight jaw, staring at Light, his eye twitches,. “I do understand how it looks, Light,” he says Light’s name very pointedly, without raising his voice. Light knows he’s in trouble. He pushed too hard, Ryuzaki is right; he’s tired and isn’t able to have this serious conversation in his current sleep deprived state of mind. But it’s too late, he’s realised his mistake once he’s already pushed the boulder over the lip of a cliff.
In which Light is too tired to be tactful, L cries and swears (Whao, two in one) because he doesn't know how to do feelings

“Excuse me?” Eddie asked, all pretenses of their original conversation gone.
“I get it, man. We – We all get it. I’m an asshole. Can you stop being such a fucking freak about it?”
As soon as the words left Steve’s mouth, he froze. He imagined everyone did, based off the tense silence that immediately followed.
Dustin breaks it first. “What the hell, Steve?"
Steve dropped his hand to his side and kept his eyes closed, sighing. “That was – yeah, okay, that was really, really mean. I’m s –”
An explosion of pain burst under his left eye as Eddie punched him, the momentum sending him stumbling backwards before he caught himself. He shook his head a bit, trying to hear what everyone was saying again over the ringing now sounding through his head. “Okay,” Steve gritted out, “Alright, yeah, I deserved –”
Before he could finish his sentence, Eddie grabbed him by the shirt collar, getting in his face. Steve did his best to remain calm, though he’s really not a fan of this whole thing anymore, and he’d much rather he never get into another fistfight again.
OR: Steve and Eddie get into a fight, and no one takes Steve's side. This action will have consequences.
