Being an Omega for some was not the best thing to find out, which was also not the case for Yagami Light when he entered his puberty and experienced his first heat. His parents had high hopes for him and supported him even after that knowledge. He was more popular at school than many Alphas and many of them, girls or even boys Alphas had shoved interest in him many times, but he showed no interest in anyone. But other than that, Light has proven many times that he is no ordinary Omega, but has shown calmness and stability like any Beta and popularity and strong will like an Alpha.
He knew that he was destined for bigger things than for the ordinary family life that most Omegas led and to which they biologically aspired. That it was indeed true, he realized when one day at school he saw a sign - a notebook falling from the sky into the yard and when he used it for the first time and realized what that notebook is able to do.
In short, he realized that he had the potential to be the God of a new world that no mortal had the opportunity to be before him and to change the world for the better. However one day an Alpha appeared in his life and from that day Light slowly but surely began to lose control over his life. -

Two years into Light's confinement L is desperate to move the dial towards a decisive victory and close the Kira case once and for all but he’s not sure how much of his own mind he’ll have to crack into pieces to do that. L wins AU! in which Light has been in jail for two years when L shows up asking for his help with a case. Light desperately wants to help, he missed their competition and has been very bored without it but he feels that L is hiding something. Still, Light helps hesitantly, all the while trying to figure out what game the detective is playing at. Meanwhile, L is willing to play at any game, as long as Light plays with him.

One year after the end of Miraculous Death Note, L and Light start their race to see who can catch Hawk Moth first...only to find themselves bitterly disappointed when the case is solved in twenty minutes tops. They also don't approve of L's stalker successor with a hero-complex. And there's the little detail that nobody in France seems to acknowledge the existence of security cameras.
But when they learn Light's successor, Adrien, is abused by his father, belittled by his partner, and forced to hide who he really is, Light and L both decide getting involved in this insanity wasn't a complete waste of time.
Things once again become interesting with the return of Kira, but it's not Light. Not long after, the revived monks of the guardian temple prove themselves to be a nuisance, and Adrien makes a dangerous decision, needing to live with the consequences and the continuing battle between doing what must be done and his own morals.

Summary
When a gun is fired, whether there is a bullet or not, a shockwave is released, which is near fatal for anyone in extremely close range, like one Light Yagami, whose skull was fractured, and some pieces wound up in his brain, causing severe damage.
After being in a coma for a while, Light finds that while he still has the ability to think like himself, he is confined to a wheelchair and all motor functions and sensory processing are extremely impaired. Essentially trapped in his own mind and helpless, Light isn't sure whether to fall to despair or feel a whole new level of stir crazy. Constant therapies don't help, and all he can do is hope the experimental treatment for brain damage will work.
At least he has L, who is doing everything he can to help without being overbearing, and feelings begin blooming between them.
