In an entirely unexpected and demented progression of events, Light spends an absurd amount of time and effort arguing with the most aggravating stranger of all time on this website. Light thinks quite suddenly that he wants to consume L. He wants to consume him more than anything. He wants to put him in a little box and keep him forever, but the dream won’t last for forever, will it? So that’s not a possibility, of course, and the next best thing is to consume him. It makes sense, it makes so much sense that Light could fold in on himself.
"Light wouldn't. But Kira? I wouldn't count him out."
