Lestat could scarcely remember a time when he’d felt so alone. In a cheap motel room just outside of Hartford, the walls of his carefully-crafted facade at last began to fall down. Memories that had hounded him for months all condensing down to a single point that felt like a blade pressing to the center of his throat. Slashing him open and bleeding him out until he wished for nothing but to burn. And there weren’t enough drugs in all the world to make the remembering stop, but Lestat had tried anyway.

Fingernails dig in deep at the nape of his neck. There is a tremor to Lestat's grip that Louis knows all too well, but he doesn't stop. He presses the navel down with his tongue, the dip making more room for blood to collect and slurps up another shot, moaning in the back of his throat as he does so.
"Ungh!"
A sharp cry and a rigid jerk beneath him breaks Louis from his trance. He smells it before he sees it.
Lestat came.
In his pants, in front of the crowd, from Louis licking at his belly button.
After things gets a little heated at Lestat's album release party, Louis helps Lestat "clean up."

A pounding at his ear drums, an aching ream of resonance singing round and round the shell of his ears. Whipping winds howling at his eyes until he can barely see, bloodied tears pooling at his lids, catching in his lashes, courting dust, dirt, debris, the smell of the Mississippi hauled outta her riverbed and up in the air, drowning him as he tries to steady his feet. He can’t vamp. Not with his hand still holding fast to the knot of Lestat’s robe, not when the hurricane would force him, them, any direction it wanted, toss them around like a cat with a muddy-shelled roach, and vaguely he realizes that he has no idea where he’s going.
