Han Hyeongjun has promised his therapist that this summer would be all about trying to get out of his comfort zone. Because Hyeongjun wanted to make something out of his life and that started with breaking the cycles he has always been stuck in.
He just didn't expect that upon moving to his grandmother's small town for the summer he would make new friends, start a band, get a job, participate to a rock contest, laugh, cry and fall in love.
But perhaps that's exactly the change he needed.

The town loved its small rumors. They were treated like stray cats: fed just enough to keep them coming back. At first it was a story in the convenience store, laughter edged with disgust.
“Someone’s been digging,” the clerk told Jooyeon while ringing up instant coffee. “Probably kids. Probably foxes. Probably nothing.”

People are beginning to stare now, curious about the foreigners, and their involvement with the dead boy brought back to life. Through a shaky inhale, Gunil smiles.

“Are you asking about the band?” Jiseok asks, eyes twinkling. “Or Jooyeon?”
Hyeongjun fixes Jiseok with an unimpressed glare.
“What?” Jiseok shrugs his shoulders. “It’s okay. I know you don’t like him, but he’s totally professional! He won’t even talk to you, I’ll tell him to behave,” he promises.
Hyeongjun almost laughs in Jiseok’s face. This is the exact problem, you see. Hyeongjun does not hate Lee Jooyeon, not at all. In fact, it’s the entire opposite. From the first moment he had seen him nearly two years ago, Han Hyeongjun has had the worst crush ever on Jiseok’s best friend. The thing is, Jiseok doesn’t know that. No one really knows it. And Hyeongjun doesn’t even need to dwell on it, because he barely sees Jooyeon– he’s got it covered.
Or, at least, he thought he had it covered.
