Mike sighed, more of a gravelly ripple in his chest than an actual breath.
"I need a taste." Will froze at that, his head tilting in confusion, "Please?" The alpha begged.
Just as it felt like Will would try to escape again, Mike tightened his grip.
"T-taste of what?" He asked, but stuttered, like he already knew what.

“Come on, baby, drink—that’s the only way you’ll feel better.” Mike cooed, bringing the hand that had creeped around the other's curvy waist up to the his dainty nape instead, encouraging him to lean his head back.
He obeyed, coquettishly cranking his neck up to gulp down the rest of the water, lips left glistening and wet. Mike couldn’t help but smirk.

He sighed as he stepped back into the faint moonlight. His watch blinked 1:32 am, much too late for a pretty little thing like Will to still be up and out of bed.
He waved at the younger to get his attention before opening the door. His green eyes were still wide and scared, hands tightly together on his lap. Mike crouched down to be at eye level with him, even though his knees cracked as he did so.
"House is all clear. Nothing was disturbed, everything is safe. You are free to go back to bed." He spoke, his tone soft.
Will nodded, but his face seeped with color and his eyebrows knitted together, "I-I'm sorry, I wasted your time. I just got scared—this is embarrassing."
Mike shook his head with a click of his tongue.
"Absolutely not. You did not waste my time. This is my job."

Will opened his eyes, he didn't even realize they were still closed. The door was now fully open and he could see the strong standing form deep into the decorated room. Mike. His hair, lips, stance, shoulders, eyes, oh god his eyes.
And he felt stupid. In this dress that was so baggy on his chest, it bordered on indecent. With the paint smeared on his face in thick, unflattering globs. Mike must think he looks hideous.
"Here the bride is now. Welcome in William Byers, Son to Leonard Byers—family to the Western heir." The royal priest declared.

And if Mike was a better person, this would not be a problem, it would never backfire on the sweet naive young man that was William Byers.
But Mike was not a particularly good person, he’s rude, snappy, and at most times inconsiderate. He made peace with that fact a long time ago.
