Summary
Izuku tried his best to keep his head up. He really did. Deep down, he knew the answer to the question the moment it left his lips. It was stupid of him to expect any other answer. It didn’t change anything. He has still been naive enough to ask anyway.
“Can you be a hero? Not without a quirk.”
The reminder felt like a knife through his chest. He really did want to believe that his quirkless status didn’t mean anything. Everyone grows up learning they can do anything, be whatever they want. It didn’t matter who they were or what they could do. Anything was possible if you put your mind to it. Reality, however, was much harsher.Izuku, failing to get the confirmation he needs from All Might, isn't able to become the hero he wanted. Instead of giving up on his dreams, he decides to take matters into his own hands.
