Summary
Mike Wheeler realized a long time ago that no one needed him. He'd tried for so long to prove himself wrong, to act like El or Holly or anyone in the Party needed him enough to care if he was gone one day.
But El then died. She died and the last thing she ever told him was that she loved him and he couldn't even say it back. He couldn't save her, he couldn't be there for her, he couldn't do anything. And that's when he stopped trying to prove himself wrong. He accepted it. That every time something went wrong, he somehow found himself in the center of it. That the Party was better without him around.

Summary
Michael Wheeler would give his life to protect those he loves.
Even from those who are supposed to love him.
But dying isn't an answer. This... This is taking more from his soul than he thought possible.
Set after the Season 4 finale, Hawkins is split and Max is comatose, with the Byers family (sort of) living out of the Wheeler household. With the world to save and a three year old to protect, Mike is doing whatever he can to keep moving forwards one step at a time. Because boys don't cry, and they definitely do not love their best friends.
Will can sense something is wrong, but when you've grown up alongside a lie your entire life, and the enemy can see into your mind at any time, knowing where the true danger lies is the hardest part to sense. But if he doesn't figure it out, who will?Bookmarked by cripplingmarvel

Summary
"I liked it when you called me your angel," Will whispered, his fingers digging into Mike’s shoulders. "But I liked it better when I was alone in my room, thinking about how you’d look if you finally stopped being a pussy and took what you wanted."
Mike’s jaw tightened, a flash of pure, territorial fire hitting his eyes. "A pussy? Is that what you think?" He gripped Will’s hair, pulling his head back to expose his throat. "I’m going to make you forget you ever had to use that fucking toy, Will. You’re going to scream my name until the neighbors call the cops."
"Then do it, Mike," Will challenged, his voice a filthy, desperate rasp. "Fucking do it. Stop talking and show me how much I belong to you."

Summary
“Did it hurt?” He leaned in, looking more closely.
“Well yeah.” Mike laughed nervously. “Still does actually, kind of throbs."
“It looks... really good.” Will’s stare unfixed from the piercing and took in Mike as a whole. His baggy black t-shirt over a tighter long sleeve waffle knit shirt that covered his arms, loose jeans, silver rings, chipped nail polish. And the newest addition: A shiny silver bar bisecting his eyebrow, the skin around it still a little angry.
“When did you get so cool?” Will tilted his head, scrunching his nose. Mike's heart picked up speed.
Mike checked his watch. “About an hour ago when this big dude stabbed me in the face.” With nonchalance that would be squandered instantly if Will caught a glimpse of his pulse. Will laughed a little too hard, eyes lingering on Mike’s face a little too long.

Mike and Will are finally free of Hawkins and all it’s literal and metaphorical monsters. Mike is on a self acceptance journey, experimenting with his identity in college, and Will tries to keep it in his pants. In other words, the childhood best friends to lovers situationship final boss with a destined happy ending.

Summary
Will holds his breath and waits. Waits for Mike to take back the offer, to say he was joking, to say that was a stupid idea. But he doesn’t. He simply stares at Will and bites his lip, as if awaiting Will’s judgment.
“I’m not sure…”
“I mean, friends can do it,” Mike adds, running a hand through his hair. “It’s not like— it’s just, it can calm your body.”
After being on heat suppressants for a few months, Will begins experiencing symptoms of a phantom heat. Mike, an alpha, offers to help relieve the symptoms by scenting him. As a friend. Totally as friends.

Summary
Mike Wheeler's life is enough of a mess already. He's forgetful, he's chronically late, and he's nursing a hopeless crush on his best friend, Will. Getting bitten by a genetically modified spider and turning into Spider-Man, New York's masked defender, hasn't made it any easier. He's only been a superhero for a few months, but between protecting his secret, keeping the city safe, passing his classes, and trying not to pine over Will too obviously... well, it's not going as well as he could've hoped.
But after Spider-Man saves Will's life, he takes an unexpected interest in Mike's secret identity. And Mike Wheeler doesn't have a chance with Will, obviously, but... maybe Spider-Man does.Bookmarked by cripplingmarvel
