Tommy didn't know what he was getting himself into when he stepped into the Raven Mansion in the middle of the night. Tubbo, one of his best friends, was walking beside him. Ranboo, The tallest of them, was behind Tommy.
The ender hybrid had been shuddering the whole time. "This is a terrible idea. Let's leave before we get caught by someone." The taller fumbled over his words. A finger to his lips silenced him.
Tommy had planned out their trip a week prior. They just wanted to explore the creepy mansion.

He’d race ahead, barking excitedly, while Wilbur followed with an exasperated but fond look in his amber eyes. “You’re going to get us killed one day,” Wilbur would mutter, but he never stopped following.
Wilbur had a knack for silence, for slipping away when the moment called for it. He could disappear into the snowbanks as though he were never there, his white fur merging seamlessly with the landscape. Tommy wanted— needed —to believe that this was such a case.
That Wilbur hadn’t truly left him. That his brother wasn’t gone.

What gruesome fate did this little one face?
Wilbur’s heart ached as he gazed at the boy trapped in the ice. The child’s faint voice still lingered in his mind, a soft echo of desperation that tugged at his soul. Wilbur knew the boy hadn’t yet passed from the mortal plane—his pleas were too vivid, tethered to the raw emotions of survival.
The voices Wilbur heard were always rooted in desire, in longing. But this child didn’t ask for wealth or love. He only pleaded. Wilbur leaned closer to the ice, his voice soft and soothing, as though speaking to a frightened animal.
“Little one? I know you can hear me, darling. I want you to know I’ll get you out of there,” he promised, his tone gentle.

"Fifty years ago?!" Wilbur’s voice was sharp. "Phil, were there any previous missions to this planet?"
"None that I’m aware of. I checked the database—there were no manned or unmanned missions to this planet after the initial rover expedition." He ran a hand through his hair, the lines on his face deepening
"The Dream Team has been pressuring me ever since they woke up. They insist on taking some action. But I don't think that's plausible. If this mission becomes rescue-oriented, We waste 300 more years in space travel and jeopardize all our resources."
"The sleeping pods only last 350 years, maximum," Wilbur said, his worry evident.
"And even if they lasted longer, someone would have to stay awake to put the rest back to sleep," Techno added grimly.

Summary
Tommy didn't mean to leave his house in a mess whilst his dad was at work. But setting off a firework inside didn't justify Phil getting him a babysitter at fourteen years old.
But Wilbur was weird. Weird because he wore sunglasses in the middle of September. And because he was a vampire.
To be more accurate, he was a fledgling. Wilbur insisted on not becoming one of them. He feared losing his own humanity, breaking away from everything that once made him human.
Though, Wilbur didn't know that the kid he babysat was all he needed to keep that humanity.
