Tommy’s home is boring. He wants a new one, one that is full of excitement and adventure! Yet he is still here, stuck in this boring ordinary life. That is until he hears a tale of monsters and mysteries that lay outside the city. Maybe that could be his home.
Tubbo hates his home. Some would consider him lucky, being the son of one of the founders but in reality it is hell. He just wants to leave, find a new family far, far away from this madness. Honestly, if he could, he would run past those gates and find a new home for himself just to piss off his father.
Ranboo has never had a home. That he remembers at least. He lives on the streets, alone. But life is good and Ranboo wouldn’t mind if he lived like this for the rest of his life. Just… there was always the feeling… that feeling that he has a home somewhere else.
Anzena city, a place that was built to protect the people from the dangers outside. What happens when three teens meet and decide to check out what the outside world really is…

Her long, black hair cascaded down her back in a scandalizing, sort of beautiful, way. She smiled a charming, sharp smile, that her face made room for effortlessly.
And what Queen would be completely without a crown? But her crown was terrifying, the tangled mass of black thorns that it was. It rested on her head in a way that looked uncomfortable, like it would dig into her head, but it did not seem to bother the Queen.
She was beautiful. She was terrifying.

Technically it's not Tommy, Tubbo or Ranboo's job to protect people. Technically they are thieves who steal for a living. But an ex-hero's training in combat makes for a lot of internal conflict when your district (and the districts around it) is full of crime and desperation. So they made a promise, every time they went out for a bout of petty thievery they would be on the lookout for people in need of help. It was an ok plan; they only ever had to follow it once a month when they really needed money for food and rent, but unfortunately, heroes don't take kindly to people without a license using enhancements to fight crime. So, even after a lucky opportunity to change careers, SBI is set on their tail and a whole mess of wind-ups and paranoia ensue.

Niki is worried about everything happening, but finds herself dragged into the very heart of the mess, and is determined to find a way out.
Karl has an idea of what's happening. He tries to help those searching from the sidelines, until he can’t any longer.
All four try to make sure nothing else will go wrong.

A deep voice from behind startled Ranboo, causing him to spin around, his veil fluttering from his face momentarily. The vigilante’s eyes instantly found the boar-skull mask that always hid Mobius’ identity as the other sauntered out from the shadows on the other side of the warehouse.
“W-what do you want?” the teen stuttered nervously, cringing as his voice cracked slightly through his voice changer, carefully keeping his weight off his left leg. The memory of pain still echoed in the joint.
“I see potential in you,” the villain answered, continuing forward. Ranboo reached for his whips and took a step back, before Mobius let out a small huff that could have been considered a laugh. “Relax, kid. I’m not here to attack you.”
“Then what are you doing here?” Ranboo pushed as much false confidence as he could into the question, removing one whip and gripping it tightly, but the man seemed to be able to sense his fear.
“I’m here to train you,” he said.
Ranboo’s eyes widened in surprise as he sucked in a breath through his black mask.

Phil spread his wings wide, his glossy feathers ruffling in the evening breeze, relishing the last drops of golden sunlight. Alongside him, his family soared high in the azure sky. To the average person, it might just look like some birds flying around; albeit some with strangely shaped wings and bodies.
However, if one was to look closely, they would see a somewhat miscellaneous group of five...humans? Treating the puffy white clouds like their playground.
The group were having their usual afternoon flight, until they all heard an ear-piercing cry of pain that was all too familiar to the winged group.
Phil’s paternal instincts kicked in, but glancing over the oddball lot of hybrids revealed that Techno, Wilbur, Tommy and Tubbo looked unharmed and safe.
Coming to a simultaneous realisation of where the screech may have come from, they all glanced down to their house below, where Ranboo was currently 'taking a shower'

Tommy is a normal person walking in the crowds of L'manberg, hurrying past other people to get to school, to catch up on the piles and piles of homework left abandoned on his desk, to catch his friends at the ice cream shop in the south side of the city.
Theo is a person hurrying to work, hurrying to a plane for a business trip, hurrying back home to feed the kids he loves. (They don't know. Of course they don't know - he doesn't know why he's angry about it.)
Midas is a mechanical monster that only unlucky people see, that will come steal the teddy bears of children at night, that will turn your blood to gold and silver with an offer of red wine.
Midas is a savior, a hero, and nobody cares that he keeps the city breathing. Nobody cares that he changed, nobody cares that he won't die, nobody cares that he will see those beside him wither away and turn to dust. Nobody cares that he so ruthlessly fights the seeds of anger festering in the city, how he's one of the few people keeping the city alive.
Until somebody finds out.
And he hates how they change.

Tubbo made it and Tubbo was turning around and Tubbo was looking to see where Tommy was and Tubbo made eye contact with Tommy and despite how little he could see of him as his consciousness was fading from fatigue, he could make out the grieving cry of his friend as they were carried away to safety.
Tubbo had trusted Tommy, and he would have to trust him enough to get out of this situation.
And as the Blade shoved Tommys head against the wall a final time, and his mind went fuzzy, all he could think of was that Tubbo had made it. -

Benchtrio supermarket AU as promised.
"RANBOO! Are you talking to the meats again? Whatever... Anyways, the inspector is coming today." Tommy rambles on nervously, panting a bit from literally running halfway across the store.
Ranboo just rolls his eyes, then the words seem to register, "The WHO? What, today? Really?"
See, the thing about the store is that it isn't the best. It's gross and weird, but they all desperately need money, and this job is how they get that so... Their manager, Phil, doesn't seem to care what they do, so the three of them have taken to certain jobs. Ranboo particularly enjoys stocking the shelves, Tommy manages the registers, and Tubbo cleans up. That's just how it is for them most of the time. But they've recently gotten a rush as Christmas is soon, so all three of them have had to man the register and both other tasks have been unfinished.
They manage to go to Philza, while the guy is literally already in the store.

But he knew Schlatt was a major dickbag, his application would even make it any higher.
