Summary
Jane Shepard has been homeless on Earth for most of her life until Saren passed by one day during the winter. She returned a package to him which he accidentally dropped simply out of sheer kindness. Realizing that she acted different from most of the humans he encountered, Saren decided to return the favor by taking her in so he could at least give her a second chance at life. Little did they know, this would be the start of a close bond that would prove Saren's impression on humans.

Summary
This is a slow burn Shakarian with lots of drama to go around. It's smutty AF and rather free in terms of sexuality. We'll have plenty of threesomes and kink exploration to keep your hungry mouths filled.
These stories uses my personal Shepard—Marika "Mika" Shepard—and we follow her at different points during her life. There's a red thread in this entire series. It's meant to be read in order for proper context, but, of course, you don't have to do that.
Themes: Relationship-focused—romantic, friendly, and familial—morally ambiguous choices, emotional, drama-packed, angsty, AU from work 5, dialogue-forward, with enough smut to keep you bone dry on the inside from work 6 and onwards.
Read order and short overview in the series notes.

Summary
What truly bridges the silent chasm between species? Is it shared pain, the fragile threads of friendship... or merely the hollow rhythm of a routine born from grief? The cosmos offers a thousand answers, yet none can fill the quiet.
You drifted into my orbit when the stars had all gone dark. The death of my brother, John, didn't just leave me alone—it left me unanchored in an ocean of shadows. And yet, with the steady hum of your voice and the sharpness of your gaze, you built a fence around my darkness. You became the only horizon I could see.
I fell, as stars often do, into a love that felt forbidden by the very laws of the galaxy. A love that wasn't meant to be. And when you were torn from my side, I wasn't left with a home, or a hope... I was left only with a variable. A cold, mathematical reminder of what I had lost.
They say the Galaxy only needs one Shepard to save it. But John was the hero, and I am only the ghost he left behind.
The Galaxy needs its Savior... but I only ever needed you
