There were thousands of details. Each made up a tiny piece of the catastrophic falling out, betraying reveal of his nature, and subsequent civil war of the mountain nation Shiroboshi. He was reaching an impasse between the civil war and pressure on his borders from outside forces. Politics were a lot easier when the solution was a massacre or gold.
The cost of peace this time would be pride.

It's a beautiful breed, both exotic and expensive. Sukuna always fancied himself a cat person, but he can appreciate beauty objectively. He also often watches as the dog creates chaos, so very clever in his movements and choices. It's honestly rather catlike, but that was what made the dog and its owner so funny to watch.

People either wanted something from him or wanted to be him. Both were exhausting. He was coddled, yes—pampered, praised, paraded around like a thoroughbred, and taught to believe he was untouchable.
The problem was, he was untouchable.
No one ever really saw him. Not beyond the Six Eyes, not beyond the technique, not beyond the bloodline. He could make a joke, and people would laugh before he even finished it. He could lie, and they’d believe him just because he said it with confidence. He could fail, and the world would say it was someone else’s fault.
Then came Suguru.
And Suguru looked at him like he saw right through all the performance.

Summary
Gojo Satoru is barely surviving. One arrow changed the entire course of his life, and he's forced to leave everything he knows and loves behind. He's supposed to be the strongest, but he struggles to keep up in Prythian, the Fae World. The Spring Court is beautiful, but Satoru doesn't want to stay here. He wants to go home, back to the human lands. Sukuna, his captor and High Lord of the Spring Court, tells him that it's only fair. Satoru took a life, so he must spend the rest of his here.
Satoru learns of an affliction, a curse, spreading through Prythian. It's stealing their magic and slowly killing them. He wants to help, but he doesn't know how to. He slowly adjusts to his life in the Spring Court over time, and he even finds himself falling in love with the High Lord. Sukuna is rough around the edges, but he's kind to Satoru. He's never known real love before.
Sukuna warns him of another: The High Lord of the Night Court. His name is Getou Suguru, and he serves the woman who cursed their lands. Satoru is wary, but there's a pull between them. Suguru is a monster; his actions prove so. Satoru doesn't trust him, but he may have to if he wants to save the one he loves.
