Well, that’s not entirely true. He didn’t hate it in the moment, of course; the hatred came immediately after and was entirely directed at himself for letting it happen again.
It goes the same way every time.
One of them says or does something sharp and cruel and needling. Sparking the tiniest flare of anger that neither of them are any good at snuffing out. Combining too short fuses and too inflaming actions. The tinder to each others’ flints.
(or, Wade and Logan get together and Wade vows to stop hurting him inside the bedroom - Logan has other ideas)

It must’ve been when Wade’s blood dripped onto his teeth and down his tongue where he could taste that delicious metallic tang that awoke something truly feral and animalistic in him; a rush of thoughts, feelings and repressed fantasies washed through him. Something was screaming “we’re perfect for each other,” something else was yelling “you’re fucked up and you should stop before this escalates even more.”
Then he launched Wade through the skylight of the car, and in the few seconds of quiet reprieve, he came to a conclusion.
He was gonna fuck that loud mouthed idiot.
