Summary
Last winter Hongjoong had finally accepted a truth that was haunting him for many years.
Back when he was just a rookie this truth first came to him. In the safety of the night it wrestled itself into Hongjoong's concious thoughts. Since then it was a steady companion for Hongjoong.
The first apperance of the truth was sudden, but after that it was a steady progression. Even though it had been persistent and always there, it took many years, that Hongjoong decided he didn't mind that truth anymore.
Then he learned, that he could even bask in that truth. But he would also learn, that in the following years, the truth would turn into something that hurt him.The summer, after this one faithful winter, was when he finally decided to act on this truth.
So one evening Hongjoong sat on the balcony of the dorm, vibrating with excitment but also trepidation, while he was staring at the neon-lit cityscape, planing the next evening. The evening where he would reveal the truth he was no longer able to ignore and also didnt want to ignore anymore.The truth that he was in love with Seongwha.
If he had known what was to follow, would he do it again?

Unfortunately I relate hard to this, but the story brought so much comfort to me somehow.
I don’t know why, but reading my bias going through stuff I‘m battling on a daily basis strangely helped and made me feel less alone and seen.
I’ve read this 2 or 3 times. I loved it.

This has to be the best fic about metal health, that I have ever read.
I love how it was portrayed by the author. It feels so real and is not unnecessarily romanticised.
Also, I like how Yeosang is the only narrative and we don’t automatically know everything. Like he’s the only pov, that we have.
I like how we can read what stuff like this can do to a bystander. I liked reading Yeosangs journey into his darkest parts of his mind and back.
And the ending didn’t feel like a forced happy ending.
Absolutely loved this fic. It’s a must to reread it eventually. -

The warning was there, they had time to make it out. When the power went out without a moment’s notice followed by the water disappearing shortly after, Seonghwa knew that his screaming instincts weren’t to be ignored like his roommate told him. The portable radio they used only screamed static except for the occasional alarming words that no one believed because it was April 1st and it was all supposedly a big prank.
That’s all it was, right? Some big prank? That’s what Seonghwa’s roommate told him at least, but look where his roommate was now.
Or: Seonghwa attempts to survive during a zombie apocalypse and ends up meeting six loyal men and one incredibly cold-hearted leader to keep him company as they try to make it out alive.
