Summary
In his dream, Seimei sees two children practising Onmyodo together in the courtyard of Kamo no Tadayuki's residence. A child with strangely fiery pink hair as the lava of Purgatory had strange demonic tattoos on his ceramic white skin. The other child was a little younger, with hair and skin as white as pure snow, and three fox tails occasionally peaked out from behind his back. The red-haired one was slightly ahead in speed, swiftly swinging the spells at the other child, therefore gaining the upper hand. Even though he was smaller and in a difficult position, the white-haired boy still persisted in secretly drawing the magical realm on the ground. Unlucky of him, the redhead wisely grasped it, hence the destruction of the incompleted realm. Then he blocked the immobilisation charm, and posed his hands to bind the white hair with the spell:
"I won." _ The child grinned proudly, the corners of his eyes wrinkled into a curve like a crescent moon.
The other also smiled, revealing his missing baby teeth:
“Okay, one more session.”
…Unfortunately, the innocent smiles of the two children did not last long.

Haruichi doesn't know since when he noticed every little act of a person. The way he walks leisurely next to him, shielding him from the winter wind. The way his silky, jet-black hair and long lashes flutter when he dozes off. The way those slender and delicate hands catch the snow or pitch crazy fastballs - not sure if it was to the catcher's mitt or to Haruichi's chest. Or the tall, lean silhouette with strong shoulder blades hidden behind the pure white school uniform. His voice is low and clear, like the sound of wind and morning dew. They all make him strangely infatuated.

Haruichi không biết từ bao giờ mà cậu lại chú ý đến từng cử động nhỏ nhặt của một người. Cách y thong dong bước cạnh cậu, che chắn gió mùa đông cho cậu. Cách mái tóc đen nhánh mượt mà và hàng mi dài rung rung khi ngủ gật. Cách bàn tay thuôn dài với những đường gân rõ ràng ấy hứng lấy tuyết rơi hay ném những pha bóng thần tốc - không rõ là vào găng tay của catcher hay vào lồng ngực của Haruichi nữa. Hay bóng lưng cao gầy với xương bả vai rắn rỏi lấp sau bóng áo đồng phục trắng tinh. Giọng nói trầm thấp mà trong trẻo như tiếng gió và sương sớm. Tất cả đều khiến cậu mê muội đến kỳ lạ.

Trong mơ, Tình Minh mơ thấy cảnh hai đứa trẻ luyện thuật thức với nhau trong đình viện của Hạ Mậu Trung Hành. Một đứa trẻ có mái tóc đỏ hồng rực rỡ như dung nham của Luyện Ngục, trên khuôn mặt trắng nõn ẩn hiện quỷ văn yêu dị. Đứa bé còn lại nhỏ hơn một chút, tóc và da đều trắng như tuyết, sau lưng thấp thoáng ba chiếc đuôi cáo. Đứa tóc đỏ nhỉnh hơn về tốc độ, thoăn thoắt vung bùa về phía đứa bé còn lại, nhanh chóng chiếm thế thượng phong. Tuy nhỏ hơn, lại bị rơi vào thế khó, nhưng tóc trắng vẫn kiên trì vạch ra đường pháp trận trên mặt đất. Đáng tiếc, tóc đỏ vẫn khôn ngoan nhận ra, liền phá hỏng pháp trận, chặn bùa định thân lao đến và vung tay dùng thuật thức trói chặt tóc trắng:
“Ta thắng.”_ Đứa trẻ nọ cười tự đắc, đuôi mắt cong cong như trăng khuyết.
Tóc trắng cũng cười theo, lộ hàm răng sún:
“Được, thêm ván nữa.”
…Tiếc thay, nụ cười ngây thơ của hai đứa trẻ không giữ được lâu.
