1. Chrollo is big on sweets. Not only pudding but fruit ice cream, milk candy, and various types of cake are all his favourites. When Kurapika first saw him eating pudding, he almost dropped the coffee cup in his hand. Chrollo's face was still as cool as a cucumber, but he ate like a horse. Kurapika was so concerned that he briefly thought Chrollo was possessed.
2. Kurapika and Chrollo both love reading. Plus, they can read almost any topic. In terms of liking and tendency, Chrollo usually reads books related to religions and valuables, and Kurapika is more about culture and history. Chrollo's fortune in books is tremendous, but Kurapika knows that many of those are stolen. Inevitably, he grumbles a lot, but Chrollo points out that nothing can be changed now, and the books are both limited and exceptional, so if Kurapika does not read them, it will be a waste. Finally, Kurapika read in guilt.
3. The two are into debating all sorts of things. Kurapika often has more structured arguments, while Chrollo's ideas are sometimes vague and abstract, but Kurapika still understands what he implies. Chrollo usually lets Kurapika speak first and then refutes if he does not share the same opinion. Nonetheless, both are very objective and rarely take anything for granted. Additionally, they have diverse perspectives; thus, they rarely heatedly argue. Notwithstanding, when it comes to humanity and morality, Kurapika will be agitated with Chrollo's honest sharing, so Chrollo considerately avoids this topic.
4. Travelling and discovering are their cups of tea. Yet a pleasant and convenient package tour does not sound appealing to them. In contrast, they prefer to experience the distinctive culture and specialities and practice the language of that region. Kurapika often flies to save time, but when Chrollo accompanies him, he makes him realize the joys of aimlessly travelling by road from one destination to another. Once, they went on a boat and were immediately reminded of the Black Whale. The memories are not delightful by any means to be nostalgic about, but the excursion was satisfying nonetheless.
5. Even though they can live lavishly, Chrollo and Kurapika live frugally. After all, one is the leader of the most notorious thieves in the world, and the other is the boss of the Nostrade family running a guard agency. Just a few books, some dessert for Chrollo, coffee and tea for both, and amusing adventures are enough to fascinate them.
