Suguru met his gaze without flinching, a slow smirk tugging at his mouth as heat coiled low in his chest. He didn’t miss a beat. He followed Satoru’s rhythm, letting his fingers dance over the strings, subtle flourishes threading through the chords, matching the tension in the other man’s body. The song between them had come alive with tension, every note a flicker of fire that left him aching for the next.

Suguru looks nervous, nibbling at the left corner of his bottom lip and swaying with unused energy in the doorway of their home studio—but, he also looks determined, eyes burning straight through Satoru and into the computer screen behind him. Can Suguru sing? Yes. Does Suguru sing? No.
Satoru feels like this is a prank.
Like this is a bit, some form of sarcasm that he hasn’t been able to wrap his sheltered brain around quite yet. He’s known Suguru since college, when Satoru was still a classical pianist and Suguru was a weird, over-pierced band kid on his third band. Times have changed since then, they have changed since then—but some things about people are immovable, pillars in the sand on the beach, the measures on a staff, and Satoru, stupidly, thought that this was one of those things.
Or, suguru getō never sings—no, that’s satoru’s thing. singing on a stage is nerve wracking, and not the good kind—it slicks his palms with sweat and makes his heart hammer behind his guitar. but, he does want to sing this one song, if only to tell his bandmates how he feels. (he won’t, otherwise.)

“I’ll see you next week,” He nodded a goodbye in Gojo’s direction and began to move towards the door, barely making it a few steps.
Gojo stepped in front of him. He was now blocking his exit and taking advantage of his slight upper hand in stature. Despite Suguru’s broader frame, he felt strangely cornered by the air Gojo carried himself with and stayed rooted to the spot.
“Sorry, I just-”
“Your drumming was quite good. You only played, like, one of the fills wrong.”
Suguru bit back a remark on how he had just misread it. The last thing he needed was an argument.
“Thanks, it’s nice to finally play with a proper group.”
“Well then, since playing in a group is what you’re looking for, you can join my band.Gojo Satoru, a singer with a legacy to uphold thinks all hope is lost after sitting through hours of auditions, failing to find a drummer for his band. His bandmates all beg him to settle for someone average, but Gojo refuses to be anything short of perfect.

Carismático. Talentoso. Um mágico por trás do microfone. Satoru é tudo o que eles procuram.
