Chongyun raises his gaze—looking right past her—and says, “Next, please.”
Bennett shudders, and so does the girl. She’s blushing from ear to ear, holding a hand to her mouth as she quickly shuffles out of the line to wait for her drink.
There it is. Classic “Ice Prince”, cruelly turning down any maiden that dare approach him. And if a cute girl like that didn’t stand a chance, Bennett wouldn’t even dream of trying anything.

Chongyun knows he ought to be sleeping, but it's hard to fall unconscious with his heart ramming against his ribs like this. Once again, Bennett has crawled out of his sleeping bag and onto his, wrapping his limbs around Chongyun like some sort of octopus and making him... uncomfortably warm.

Though Bennett can't say he finds this method particularly tasteful... at the very least, he can make their prisoner's stay as comfortable as possible.
He reaches the heavy cellar door, his heart pounding with a mixture of unease and hopeful anticipation. He swings it open, all smiles and cheer--but the words of greeting catch in his throat. The smile freezes on his face.
The small, windowless cell, usually damp and smelling faintly of brine and despair, is empty.

i.e., After drinking well into the morning hours, Bennett wakes to a rather disorienting position.

Bennett collapses on the floor, passing out instantly. Probably not the best idea in a climate as cold as this, but the exhaustion got the better of him. He wakes not long after by a hot lick to the face. Several of them. Almost feels like his neighbor's dog. Bennett giggles, still half asleep as he rubs its soft fur.
"Sunny... not the face...!"
He tries to roll over but the dog goes with him, snuggling into his arms for warmth. Makes sense, since it's so damn cold out... Why is it so cold, anyway? Bennett scrunches his face as he shivers, then slowly opens his eyes. The memory of where he should be sets in and the question changes: Why is Sunny on this dangerous mountain?

Which leaves only one person.
The reason why he got everyone and their grandmother a batch of saurus crackers, so that this last one wouldn't seem so suspicious.
