Summary
Some stories begin with a confession. Theirs begins with years of silence.
Sometimes, confessions aren't needed. Not when you know someone as well as they did. For years, Soobin and Yeonjun gravitated around each other, each waiting to see who would be the first to close the distance.
But as they say, it only takes one decision to burn down a castle.
Their castle was the gray area where their silence lived. It only took one moment of weakness to make that silence louder than any words could ever be. And once something burns down, no amount of wishing can turn the ashes back into what they were before.
That silence was broken. And they would have to deal with it.
OR,
Yeonjun and Soobin growing up inside TXT, trying to live their lives, and completely, one hundred percent, in love with each other.

Taehyun feels Kai looking at him, not with resentment or fear, but with a disgusting comfort telling him that he had no obligations to anyone but himself. Not to his parents, not to Kai, not to whoever pressures him to become something he so desperately did not want to be.
Yes, the sole obligation Taehyun has is towards himself. That was the one obligation, his entire fucking life, that he was daunted by, for meeting that one, critical requirement would involve him abandoning all of the other principles set in stone for him that ought to guide his life.

Kai knows what Taehyun looks like when he comes—the way the tension in his face loosens, followed by how his lips part slightly in pleasure and then, if Kai’s lucky, the soft moan he doesn’t always manage to conceal. Taehyun doesn’t notice him watching in these moments, too caught up in himself, or he doesn’t care. Kai hopes it’s the former, but it’s not as if Taehyun would bring it up anyway. There’s a bit of a balance going on, a fragile equilibrium that can only be maintained if they don’t think or talk about it too much.

Taehyun feels like throwing up when glancing at their hands intertwined with each other. He spares one look at the man in front of him. Face hard and stoic just like the first time he met him. His palms start to feel sweaty as the urge to pull his hands away overwhelms him.
He hears the priest mumbling words yet Taehyun pays him no mind. Too engrossed in the ways he can leave this altar and country for good. "Mister Kang?" A tight squeeze that can almost be painful brings him back to reality. Taehyun looks at the man in front of him, anger clearly shown on his face. "I do." He says rather quickly. Almost as if saying those words burns his throat.

Soobin looked up at him, resting his hand on Taehyun’s thigh on top of his arm. Soobin’s hair looked disheveled and his face was flushed red, both from moving around and from their current position. Soobin gulped and breathed in deeply as Taehyun shifted on his lap to sit on his chest and forbid him from moving.
“Uhm, are you supposed to be on top of me?” Soobin asked, his voice coming out strangled.
“That’s what we learned today,” Taehyun replied with a smug smile, sitting comfortably on Soobin’s chest. Soobin rested his hand on the flexing skin of his leg under the tight pants he was wearing.
“Huh?” Soobin dumbly asked, not being able to focus on his words as he looked at him from under.

Soobin and Taehyun are roommates, and after Taehyun shows Soobin what he learned during one of his martial art classes, things escalate quickly.
