Summary
The fall semester has come to a close and the students are leaving town to go home for Christmas. That is, everyone except Yuuji.
Before he's left alone for the month of break--which seems more like an impending eternity--he celebrates Not-Actually-Christmas' with Nobara and her girlfriend Maki over dinner, and a small private one with his best friend and crush, Megumi.
He decorates his apartment for the perfect ambience of Christmas. Going overboard, some may say (Nobara). Megumi didn't want to go home, necessarily, and Yuuji wasn't above making their private Christmas so perfect that he'd want to stay with Yuuji for the month. So what was a little overspending on decorations if it meant his crush stayed through New Years?
What wasn't in the keep-Fushiguro-here-plan was Yuuji telling Megumi he loved him... Whoops!

Whatever he said caused Yuuji’s tongue to dart across his lip, looking Megumi up and down like he was the meal and not the actual food in front of them.
Megumi felt his face flush. He looked down, staring intently at his food and busying himself with pushing things around his plate, pretending he couldn’t feel the dual stares watching his every move.

"Hey." Itadori blinks, wide and earnest. "Do I know you from somewhere?"
The tea sloshes backwards in the bottle he’s holding. Megumi focuses on this until his vision steadies.
"No," he says. "I don’t think so."
In the aftermath, Itadori loses his memories instead of his life. Megumi grieves nonetheless.
