They’d skipped a lot of the nonsense. Traditional weddings were not really for them, and Ilya had rightfully pointed out that if they tried to plan something massive like Scott Hunter had, Shane wouldn’t be able to relax the entire day until everyone had gone home again, and their wedding day wouldn’t have been the magical experience either of them wanted. That either of them had been waiting for for thirteen long years, though they’d been aware of the waiting much less long.
So they’d figured out the broad strokes of what they wanted, and let Yuna Hollander plan most of it, knowing she’d enjoy being involved. And Yuna getting involved meant that David Hollander inevitably looked over her shoulder to make sure she didn’t go overboard, and ultimately that was the perfect combination of forces to make for a wedding day tailored to their love.

The question came out of nowhere. Light was laying, blindfolded and arms chained to the side, in a room he didn’t know where, on a bed he had yet to leave, wheezing with every breath, most likely nursing broken ribs. When Ryuk had sold him out (the motherfucker) post Higuchi, Aizawa had quickly lost his cool, and before the policeman had been pulled off of Light, he’d been incapacitated enough to be unable to protest as L said he’d make sure Kira would never kill again.
